Amin is a postdoc investigating sex-specific mechanisms and electro-mechano-energetic coupling in HFpEF. He received his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology and Sharif University of Technology, respectively. He earned his ScD in Biomedical Engineering from Tampere University, where he focused on the mathematical modeling of cardiomyocyte pathophysiology and biomechanics. Amin is particularly interested in the design and optimization of artificial neural networks for emulation, robust parameter estimation, and uncertainty quantification in computer models of cardiac cellular function.

Fazeelat is a postdoc investigating the arrhythmogenic cross-talk of signaling pathways involved in heart failure. She obtained her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of Bologna, Italy. During her PhD, she investigated the bidirectional coupling of human atrial electro-mechanical models and its role under atrial fibrillation. Before joining the lab, she did her 1-year postdoc in the same institution working on the simulation of mutation-specific hypertrophic cardiomyopathy models to understand their proarrhythmic effects.
